ISRO To Launch First Satellite Of 2020 On November 7
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is set to launch its first satellite of 2020 on November 7 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The space agency informed that the launch is scheduled at 3:02 pm, and is aimed to install Earth Observation Satellite 'EOS-01' with nine other international customer satellites onboard the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, PSLV-C49. The satellite EOS-01, earlier known as RISAT-2BR2, will provide assistance in agriculture, forestry, disaster management and water resources applications along with the nine customer satellites, which include four form U.S and Luxembourg each and one from Lithuania. The four-state 320-tonne launch vehicle PSLV-C49, also called the 'Workhorse of ISRO', is 44.5m tall and has successfully carried out ISRO's multiple launch missions.
