A blockade set up for President Kovind's visit allegedly led to a woman's death as she was stuck in traffic in an ambulance for two hours. A 50-year-old, Vandana Mishra was suffering from post-Covid complications. "There was a lot of traffic. Several roads were blocked because of his visit to Kanpur," said Mishra's husband. However, the President after knowing about the incident sought forgiveness and expressed grief over the death.

The Manipur government has appealed medical officials for silencing of ambulances' sirens to reduce the COVID-19 panic and anxiety. The state's medical directorate in its statement said, "Only if the roads are blocked, sirens should be activated." In an inhumane act, a pregnant woman in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district is struggling for her life after protestors did not allow ambulance to pass due to Bharat Band. In a viral video of the incident, the woman's mother can be seen pleading for the way but was unheard. Reportedly, despite the administration’s clear instructions to permit the movement of every essential services, the protestors denied.
