Eight Pakistani Nationals Arrested With 30 Kgs Heroin Worth 150 Crores
Eight Pakistani nationals were arrested carrying 30 kilograms of heroin worth Rs 150 crores from the Gujarat's coast in the Arabian Sea on April 15. Reportedly, a joint team consisting of Gujarat's Anti-Terrorist Squad and Indian Coast Guards seized the boat near Jakhau port of Kutch. However, the operation was carried out in the spot close to International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL).

Mumbai: NCB Identifies Sahil Shah As Prime Suspect In SSR Drug Case
Citing a twist to Sushant Singh Rajput's death mystery, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has identified Sahil Shah as a prime suspect. The NCB officials have arrested two drug pedlars in connection with Shah on April 13. According to the reports, Shah lived in the same complex where Rajput used to live earlier. Moreover, Shah also supplied drugs to Karan Arora and Abbas Lakhani who were arrested in August 2020.

3468 Tihar Jail Inmates Released During COVID Last Year Go Missing
About 3,468 out of 6,740 Tihar jail inmates, who were released on COVID parole last year, have gone missing. Prisoners suffering from various ailments were released for eight weeks and were expected to return by the end of March. Reportedly, only 2,200 of the 5,556 undertrial inmates released on the parole have returned. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police have been actively tracking the missing prisoners.

West Bengal: Violence Persists In Kolkata, Multiple Complaints Of Bomb Attacks
Due to the conflicts between several Party's workers, Kolkata recorded multiple complaints of vandalism and bomb attacks in Behala area. Several cases have been reported by the CPM-ISF combine of Sanjukta Morcha at Survey park and Tijala, said police officials. However, Around 18 CRPF companies has been deployed in the city while 13 will keep monitoring the sensitive areas, and five will guard EVMs at the poll centres.

Chandigarh Crime Branch Nabs Security Guard Under Bank Robbery
Chandigarh crime branch police arrested a security guard Sunil Kumar on April 14, in a robbery of Rs 4.04 crore from the Axis bank. Deployed by MSF security agency, Kumar was at night duty on April 11 and went missing while the currency chest of the bank was damaged. However, the CCTV footages revealed Kumar taking two packets containing 20 bundles of Rs 2,000 notes.

Crime Show-Inspired 16-Yr-Old Teen Kills Grandmother
Influenced by crime shows, a 16-year-old boy killed his grandmother, 83, with an iron rod and set her on fire on April 12 in Haryana. He also misled his parents to believe that some strangers barged into the house and attacked them. However, during the interrogation, the boy confessed that he committed the crime as he wanted to get rid of her scolding. Later, police sent him to a juvenile home.

NCB Raids Haridwar Based Drug Cartel; Seizes Contraband Worth Rs 30 Lakh
In a big success, the NCB on April 12 seized 70,000 codeine-based cough syrups, opioid pills worth Rs 30.5 lakh and 15 kilograms amphetamine. NCB seized the contrabands from a Haridwar-based pharmaceutical company, allegedly fudged records to export the prohibited items to UK, US and Europe. Receiving orders on Dark-net, the syndicate supplied them in herbal packages. Arresting four, NCB stated to seize the drugs in 34 searches.

Relatives Vandalise ICU Ward After Woman Dies Of COVID-19
The Ahmedabad Police has arrested three men for allegedly vandalizing COVID-19 ICU ward of a civil hospital. Reportedly, the men committed the violence after their relative 45-year-old Reena Yadav died on April 12 due to COVID-19 complications. They allegedly chased the medical staff with sticks and broke the equipment. As per the police, the men even tried to set the ward on fire after breaking the spirit bottles.

Mumbai Police Busts Mattress Manufacturer Firm Stuffing Discarded Masks
Maharashtra’s Jalgaon police have sealed a company for stuffing discarded masks instead of cotton to make mattresses. Reportedly, the police also discovered piles of used masks in the factory, which later were burned by cops. Following a tip-off, the cops raided the factory located in Jalgaon, around 400-kms away from the state capital Mumbai. Moreover, an FIR has been registered against the factory owner Amjad Ahmed Mansoori.
