Bombay HC: Acts Without 'Skin-To-Skin' Contact Are Not Sexual Assault
In a bizarre ruling by Bombay High Court's Nagpur bench, Justice Pushpa Ganediwala pronounced mere groping without "skin-to-skin contact and sexual intent" will not fall under sexual assault. However, the single-judge bench ruled the act to fall within IPC section 354 that penalizes "outraging the modesty of a woman". Reportedly, the ruling came when the court was hearing the plea of an accused who allegedly harassed a 12-year-old girl.

Kerala: Forest Officials Book 5 For Killing, Eating Leopard In Idukki
Kerala forest officials on January 22 arrested five people in Idukki for killing a leopard and consuming its meat. The officials also recovered 10 kilogram of uncooked meat and body parts of the leopard from the accused. Inhumane! Wounded Elephant Set On Fire In Tamil Nadu, Dies Later
In an inhumane act of man-animal conflict, a group of men hurled a burning piece of cloth at a wounded elephant who later died. The incident, which happened weeks ago at a farmhouse in Tamil Nadu’s Mavanallah, surfaced after its video went viral. Woman Who Accused Dhananjay Munde Of Rape Withdraws Complaint
Over a week after accusing Maharashtra cabinet minister Dhananjay Munde for raping her sister, the women has now withdrawn her complaint. Hoax Call Leads To Bomb Scare In Noida Hospital Owned By BJP MP
An anonymous phone call claiming bomb in the Noida’s Kailash Hospital panicked the hospital authorities. However, it turned out to be fake after which police has launched an investigation to track the miscreant. Reportedly, after receiving the call, the police evacuated the hospital and deployed a bomb-disposal squad.
