Tata motors have again hit the market as it launched the new Altroz iTurbo in three variants - XT, XZ, and XZ+ trim - on January 23. Reportedly, Tata unveiled the price to be starting from Rs.7.73 lakh. However, the Trim variants (petrol) were priced Rs 60,000 higher. Moreover, the models boast a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine with 'Sports mode', black-grey interiors, and a black roof with general features of an Altroz.

Italian superbike maker Ducati on January 22 launched its three new BS6 models of Scrambler range superbikes in India. The models include MY21 Scrambler Icon, Scrambler Icon Dark and Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro ranging between Rs 8.49 -10.99 lakh. While all the models are launched in BS6 compliance, they are assembled with retuned suspension mechanism, reinforced chassis and standard riding modes making them effective for daily use.

French automaker Citroen’s India unit is planning to open 10 new showrooms ahead of its C5 AirCross SUV launch. Eying to kickstart from major cities including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Cochin, Kolkata, Pune, and Gurugram the company will model its showrooms in French model La Maison. Maharashtra Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde confirmed the arrival of Mumbai's first made-in-India driverless train. The Bombay High Court has received a petition from employee union of US-based carmaker General Motors, as the company's plant in Pune's Telegaon nears closure. The union alleged that GM is firing its 1,587 employees out of employment for hefty profits by selling the plant to Chinese SUV manufacturer. Resisting the closing application that expires after January, the union further stated GM's decisions to be against the public interest.
