Assam-Mizoram Signed Agreement On Ongoing Border Dispute
To end the ongoing border dispute, Assam and Mizoram sealed an agreement to keep police and forest guards out of the disputed grounds on August 5. Instead, neutral forces have been delegated to maintain law and order on those grounds. Following the Aizawl's meet, Mizoram CM’s Office tweeted, “Govt. of Assam & Govt. of Mizoram successfully signed a Joint Statement today after deliberations at Aizawl".

Assam Summons Six Mizoram's Officials: Assam-Mizoram Dispute
In view of the ongoing dispute at the Assam-Mizoram border, Assam has called six officials of Mizoram's Kolasib district and assigned police for the state’s Rajya Sabha MP. In response to their action, the police of Kolasib district and its SP have lodged an FIR against Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and six officials on July 26. Earlier, Assam called Mizoram officials to the Dholai police station in relation to the investigation.
