Beautification Project Worth 4.6 Crores Slows Down After Protest In Khaba
The beautification plan worth 4.62 crores which was developed for the Rajasthan's 'Khaba' village by the "Art and cultural department" has been put on hold after the villagers opposed it. However, the villagers believe that constructing a wall boundary around the village will affect the water level in the ponds. Moreover, a group of panel members has been shortlisted and asked to submit a report considering 'Khaba conservation'.

Surat Municipal Corporation Installs Sculptures Made Out Of Waste
In a "Best Out of Waste" move, the Surat Municipal Corporation has installed 58 sculptures made out of waste for the beautification of the city. Municipal Commissioner Bancchanidhi Pani stated, "We collected waste and involved different artists and youths to make 58 such sculptures". He further stated that these sculptures send a message as, "Sculptures giving messages related to recycling, plantation and so on are prepared".
