20 People Killed In Terrorist Attack In Soum Province: Burkina Faso
Security Minister Maxim Kone said on Burkina Faso's national radio that over 20 individuals, including 19 gendarmes, died in a terrorist assault against Inata gendarmerie detachment on November 14 in Soum province in Sahel territory. A 70-year-old Burkina Faso man, Yacouba Sawadogo, did the impossible by converting a decade-old desert into forest. The septuagenarian farmer dug 'zai pits' to plant and trap required water using stones.
