Gujarat Court Sentences Accused To Life Imprisonment For 2002 Godhra Train Burning
The defendant in the case of Godhra train atrocity, which had caused the worst riots in Gujarat history, was sentenced to life imprisonment on July 2 by a court in Godhra, Gujarat's Panchmahal district. Rafik Bhatuk, the accused, was apprehended in February 2021. On February 27, 2002, he was suspected of being part in the burning down of a train carrying "karsevaks" returning from Ayodhya, murdering 59 of them.

Drugs Recovered From Myanmar Worth Half Billion Burnt To Ashes
More than half a billion dollars worth of drugs was burned by Myanmar authorities on June 26. The idea was to warn the drug smugglers who were back in business despite COVID-19 restrictions. The activity was carried out on the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2021. However, the initiative took place in Yangon where various narcotics opium, heroin, methamphetamine and more were ignited.
