India reported 3,805 new cases of COVID-19 and 26 fatalities in the last 24 hours, on October 1. A recovery rate of 98.73% has been recorded in the country, taking the total active caseload to 38,293. India’s daily positivity rate stands at 1.29%, and weekly positivity rate at 1.39%. Furthermore, India has administered over 218.68 crore cumulative doses of COVID vaccine, since the beginning of the pandemic.

A new variant of COVID-19 by the name Khosta-2, has been identified in Russian bats, and American scientists fear that the virus can possibly spread to human beings. So far, Khosta-2 has not been identified in human beings. According to senior scientist of the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR-NIV) Dr Pragya Yadav, the virus has shown resistance to neutralisation with the COVID vaccines.

India reported 4,777 new cases of COVID-19 and 23 fatalities in the last 24 hours, on September 25. Of the 23 deaths, 11 were reported from Kerala. A recovery rate of 98.72% has been recorded in the country, taking the total active caseload to 43,994. Furthermore, India has administered over 217.26 crore cumulative doses of COVID vaccine, since the beginning of the pandemic.

A recovery rate of 98.71% has been recorded in the country, taking the total active caseload to 46,216. India’s daily positivity rate stands at 1.37%, and weekly positivity rate at 1.81%. Furthermore, India has administered over 216.83 crore cumulative doses of COVID vaccine, since the beginning of the pandemic.

A recovery rate of 98.71% has been recorded, taking the total active caseload in the country to 48,027. India’s daily positivity rate stands at 1.69%, and weekly positivity rate at 1.74%. Furthermore, India has administered over 216.41 crore cumulative doses of COVID vaccine, since the beginning of the pandemic.
