South Korea Stores Over 1L Seeds Of 4,751 Plant Varieties In Vault
Baekdudaegan National Arboretum Seed Vault Centre in South Korea has stored more than 100,000 seeds of 4,751 plant varieties so that the species are not lost in an “apocalyptic” situation. Termed as safest spot in South Korea, mountain on which the vault is located can withstand a 6.9 magnitude earthquake and an atomic strike. Interestingly, there are only two such places in the world, the other being in Svalbard.

Odisha To Declare Mahendragiri Hills As Biosphere
