Tesla CEO Elon Musk on October 2 stated that the company will be entering India by 2021. While replying to a fan page's tweet that asked him when will Tesla open its Indian wing, Musk tweeted, "Next Year for Sure." Earlier in 2019, Musk promised to enter the Indian market by 2020. Interestingly, Tesla's entry-plan coincides with PM Modi's push towards adoption of electric vehicles.
