Tesla CEO Elon Musk on January 7 became the richest person on the planet as the company’s share prices went ballistic taking his wealth to $190 billion. With this leap, Musk surpassed Amazon’s Jeff Bezos whose company is facing a stagnant share price for long. Reacting to a tweet by ‘Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley’ that shared the news, the Tesla CEO wrote, "how strange" followed by "well, back to work".

Reliance Industries Limited to Sell 40% Stake in Retail Arm to Amazon
As per the reports, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) will sell a 40% stake, worth $20 billion, in its retail division to Amazon. However, both the companies have not commented yet on the matter. Earlier, Reliance crossed $200-billion mark in market capitalization. RIL has already attracted investments worth $20 billion this year from top firms including the likes of Facebook and Google.

Amazon to Get New Office at Seattle with 25,000 New Employees
Amazon to set up its third headquarters in Bellevue, Seattle. The new office will have 25,000 new workers with an average annual salary of USD 150,000. The office would be 2 million square feet as the company is seeking permission to build another skyscraper in the city. Reportedly, the Amazon employees would be working from home until January 2021.
