To mark Govind Swarup's first death anniversary, TIFR-National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA) has published a book titled 'Govind Swarup: Memories and Tributes'. Swarup pioneered the path of radio astronomy research in India. Under his incredible leadership, India built its Ooty Radio Telescope during 1965-1970 and Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope in 2000.
