Apple To Replace Qualcomm With Internal 5G Modems Raise Legal Issues
Apple bought Intel's modem group with the objective of eventually replacing Qualcomm with internal 5G modems. Formerly expected, but now highly improbable, is that Apple will switch to internal modems before the expiration period. The two patents have expiration dates of 2029 and 2030, respectively, and Apple's efforts to get them canceled ended on June 27 when the Supreme Court denied Apple's plea to revive the patent issue.

iQOO To Launch iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro With 120W Charger
Vivo-backed smartphone company iQOO is expected to launch iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro on January 5, according to the media reports. It'll make its debut in China. The flagship version of the smartphone may feature a 6.78-inch QHD+ curved OLED display, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Reportedly, it may offer a 120W charger for a 4700mAh battery.

Vivo Y32 Launched In China; World's 1st Phone With Snapdragon 680 Processor
Vivo Y32 has been launched in China, being the world's first phone equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. It also features 8GB RAM + 128 GB storage, Android 11, and a 6.51-inch HD+ display. It is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Vivo also offers a 5000mAh battery that supports an 18W charger. In China, the device is priced at around Rs 16,700.

Samsung To Hold Mobile Phone Production Due To Chip Shortage
Amid the serious imbalance in semiconductor's supply globally, Samsung has halted the production of its semi-range mobile phones due to shortage of chip. However, the company had planned to release a cheaper version of Galaxy S21 in August, but suspended due to shortage of Qualcomm's application processor. According to South Korea's Electronics Times report, Samsung might suspend S21 FE model's production.
