Buddhist Monk In China Saves Thousands Of Stray Animals

Zhi Xiang, a 51-year-old Buddhist monk has rescued over 1000 animals in and around Shanghai, by taking care of them at his monastery. Xiang's crusade started with rescuing cats hit by cars on the streets of Shanghai. Soon enough, he began taking in dogs and other stray animals as well. At his monastery, Xiang has over 8000 animals who have been rescued and rehabilitated by him.

Chinese Woman Sues Tesla For Rs 5.7 Lakh After Her Model 3 Crashes

Tesla has been sued for Rs 5.7 lakh by a Chinese woman after her Model 3 car crashed in China's Zhengzhou, allegedly due to faulty brakes, back in February. The woman claimed that the debacle with the car has caused "mental anguish and emotional distress" to her and that the accident could have killed her father. Reportedly, she came into limelight after her crash-protest at the recently-concluded Shanghai auto show.

Tesla Opens Largest Charging Station With 72 Booths In Shanghai

Breaking its own record, Elon Musk's Tesla has opened the world's largest Supercharger station in Shanghai, China. The Supercharger station has 72 charging booths, beating the previous record of 56 booths at single-point EV super-charging station set up in November 2020 in California. Reportedly, the booths of the new Supercharger station, installed at the Shanghai's Jing'an International Center, have a power capacity of 120 kW.

China Eyes To Capture Low Earth Orbit By Launching 10,000 Satellites

Chinese state-owned company China Telecom is preparing to launch over 10,000 internet-satellites in the next five years to occupy the low earth orbit (LEO). China is also planning to create a state-owned China Star Net in Shanghai for this mission. The Chinese push is seen as a response to its arch-rival US-based SpaceX's-owned 'Starlink'. While SpaceX has 775 Starlink satellites, China currently has 432 satellites in the LEO.
