China Eyes To Capture Low Earth Orbit By Launching 10,000 Satellites
Chinese state-owned company China Telecom is preparing to launch over 10,000 internet-satellites in the next five years to occupy the low earth orbit (LEO). China is also planning to create a state-owned China Star Net in Shanghai for this mission. The Chinese push is seen as a response to its arch-rival US-based SpaceX's-owned 'Starlink'. While SpaceX has 775 Starlink satellites, China currently has 432 satellites in the LEO.
