UP To Hold 1st Census For Transgenders, Proposes Rs 200 Cr For Welfare
The Social Welfare Ministry of Uttar Pradesh has proposed the first-ever census for people suffering from gender dysphoria in the state. A budget of over Rs 200 crores has been proposed by the ministry for the welfare of people who identify themselves as transgenders. This would cover education, among other facilities. Last year, CM Adityanath had set up a Transgender Welfare Board.

Cyberabad Police Launches India's First ‘Transgender Community Desk’
Cyberabad Police in Hyderabad on March 6 set up a Transgender Community Desk at the Gachibowli Police Station, a step towards the gender-inclusive community policing.
