Pakistan Court Asks India To Appoint Lawyer For Kulbhushan Jadhav, Sets Deadline

The IHC asked the Indian Government to appoint a lawyer for Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, by April 13. "Kulbhushan Jadhav cannot be denied the "right to a fair trial, said court, emphasising on the need of a lawyer to argue the death sentence, announced for Jadhav. The 51-year-old retired Indian Navy officer, was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of espionage and terrorism in April 2017.

UP: 5 Years After Akhlaq's Mob Lynching, Trial Begins In Fast-Track Court

Five years after the controversial lynching of UP’s Mohammed Akhlaq, a fast track court initiated the trials on March 25. The charges were framed against 13 of 18 suspects as two have already died and the three others will be heard before the juvenile court. Akhlaq on September 28, 2015, was mob lynched and his son was severely beaten for allegedly keeping beef at his house. The has scheduled the next hearing for April 14.
