Taliban government Orders UN Female Staff In Afghanistan To Wear Hijab While Reporting To Work
Female staff employees of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan have been ordered to wear the hijab by the Taliban-led administration. The Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice's staff will stand outside the UN headquarters to "monitor if hijab is used or not." If a female employee is spotted without a hijab, they will "politely" remind them that it is compulsory outdoors.
