China Breaches Taiwan’s Air Defence Identification Zone; Sends 51 Warplanes, 6 Warships

China has breached Taiwan’s Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ) on August 19. Taiwan reported that China sent 51 warplanes and six warships into the zone. Also, China’s 25 fighter bombers flew east of Taiwan’s median line. Meanwhile, China is also performing military drills, as a flex of muscle. The incidents have transpired after the visit of US politicians to the island nation.

The city of Kreminna, which is situated in the Eastern Ukraine, has been taken over by Russian forces, confirmed regional governor, on April 19. The pressure put by the Russian troops in the area, forced the Ukrainian troops to withdraw, giving up the city. "Kreminna is under the control of Orcs (Russians). They have entered the city," told Serhiy Gaidai, Governor of the Luhansk region.

'Mass Surrender' In Ukraine; 1,026 Ukrainian Troops Surrender To Russian Forces

About 1,026 Ukrainian troops from the Marine Brigade reportedly surrendered to Russia, on April 13. Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Major General Igor Konashenkov confirmed the incident and said that the surrender happened at a metal plant in the besieged southeastern pot city of Mariupol. Ukraine: Russia Destroys Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant's Lab

Russian forces have destroyed a functioning laboratory in Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as per reports on March 22. The Ukrainian state agency revealed that the lab encompassing "highly active samples of radionuclides" (unstable atoms of chemical  elements that release radiation), are now in the "wrong hands". Reportedly, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was seized by Russian forces at the beginning of the war.

Edible Oil Prices Soars In India Amid Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Amid the ongoing Russian invasion in Ukraine, the prices of edible oil have hiked as the import of sunflower oil has stopped between the countries. Besides, the sunflower oil is majorly imported from Russia and Ukraine to India.
