Houses In Low-lying Districts Flooded By Yamuna River, Driving Residents Onto Delhi Streets
Low-lying regions in Delhi have been inundated by the Yamuna's overflow water as a result of the city's ongoing rains. After their homes were inundated, people were forced to live on the streets of Delhi. On August 14, however, the Yamuna river was running at 204.91 meters, well below the danger line of 205.33 meters. The overflowing Yamuna river swamped low-lying regions near Mayur Vihar Phase I and Akshardham Temple.
