5.8 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Bandar Ganaveh City Of Southwest Iran
Bandar Ganaveh in Iran witnessed an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 on Richter scale on April 18, said the US Geological Survey. Although it did not entail any damage or injuries so far, the earthquake itself was shallow and had its epicenter around 100 kilometers away from Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. Notably, located on major seismic faults, Iran faces frequent earthquakes averaging to at least one earthquake every day.
