Bangladeshi National, Ex-Counsellor Arrested For Illegal Documentation
Sanjay Meshack, an ex-councillor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands was arrested due to allegedly providing Bangladeshi, a fake residence certificates like voted card, PAN card and Aadhaar card. However, the police also arrested a Bangladeshi national, Nayan Sarkar along with his family who were found on the Island with an expired Visa. Besides, However, Police urged locals to report about Bangladeshi Nationals living on Island.

Uttarakhand: BJP Councillor Prakash Dhami Shot Dead By Unidentified Assailants
A BJP councillor from Rudrapur ward 13, Uttarakhand, Prakash Dhami passed away on October 12, after getting shot by yet unidentified assailants. According to police, the assailants arrived at Dhami's residence in a car, called him outside asking for his signatures on a document and shot at him. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. SP Devendra Pincha said the police is investigating the matter further.
