BJP General Secretary CT Ravi Calls Halal As 'Economic Jihad'
BJP General Secretary CT Ravi issued a statement amid fury over the boycott of "Halal. He called Halal an 'economic Jihad'. The BJP legislator in Bengaluru said, "It (Halal) has been put in place so that Muslims don’t do business with others, which has been forced upon them". Notably, in Karnataka, former CM HD Kumaraswamy called such boycott as a trend to spoil the state, amid the Halal Meat row.

BJP General Secretary CT Ravi Calls For Renaming JNU After Vivekananda
BJP general secretary CT Ravi on November 16 stirred a controversy by his tweet that suggested to rename Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) as Swami Vivekananda University. The former Karnataka minister Ravi said, "It is Swami Vivekananda who stood for the 'Idea of Bharat’." The tweet came out as the latest development after JNU students protested the unveiling of a Vivekananda statue by PM Narendra Modi in the campus.
