ACS Official Arrested On Accusations Of Having Disproportionate Assets: Assam
The Chief Minister's Special-Vigilance-Cell has arrested an Assam-Civil-Service (ACS) official on accusations of having disproportionate assets. Investigators were looking into officer Saber Rahman after an allegation claimed his assets had been obtained illegally and corruptly, contradicting his recognised sources of income. IPS Officer Charged With Sedition Over Hatching Plan Against Govt
After being suspended in the first week of July for a disproportionate asset case, the Chattisgarh police have now registered a sedition case against IPS officer GP Singh, officials said on July 9. The police stated that evidence of promoting enmity and hatching a plan against the government was found in documents during the raid. According to Raipur SSP Ajay Yadav, the investigation is under process.
