Mumbai Faces Major Power Cuts Due To Grid Failure: BEST
Mumbai faces huge power cut due to grid failure, as per reports on Februrary 27. Several cities like, South Bombay-Chembur, to Govandi, the people have complained about the sudden electricity failure. "300 MW of power supply affected because of this transmission line tripping. It has affected major parts of south and central Mumbai that is supplied by BEST and Tata Power," the sources from BEST stated.

Major Power Failure Across Mumbai; Traffic Signals Stopped working
Several locations at Mumbai including Panvel, Thane, Navi Mumbai, and others suffered from 'major electricity failure', on October 12. Reportedly the failure caused due to "TATAs incoming electric supply failure". The incident caused interruption in daily train services and dis-functioning of traffic signals.
