Ex-Maharashtra CM Fadnavis Denounces Congress' Opposition to Farm Bills
Former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis on September 25 called the Congress' opposition to farm bills as "double standards". He stated that the opposition was politically motivated as the Congress was "out of power". He slammed other parties also that were opposing the Farm Bills passed recently by the Parliament. Earlier the same day, farmers had called a nationwide shutdown against the bills, which await the President's approval.

Indian Congress To Initiate a Series Of Nationwide Protests, Against the Farmer's Bill
The All India Congress Committee held a meeting on September 21, as per the instructions of the party chief Sonia Gandhi. The special committee took a decision to launch a series of 'nationwide protests' against the Farmer's bills. The protests will begin after a press conference on September 24, in all the state headquarters.
