Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh paid tribute to the martyrs of the 26/11 attack at the CP Office on November 26. On November 26, 2008, ten Pakistan-based terrorists killed 166 people at five major locations in Mumbai. They targeted Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station, Nariman House, Cam Hospital, Leopold Cafe, the Oberoi-Trident Hotel, and Taj Hotel and Tower.
The National Centre for seismology said an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hit Maharashtra's Ratnagiri district on November 15 at 2:36 AM. The depth of the quake was recorded at 5 kilometres from the surface. The epicentre of the quake was in coastal Ratnagiri which is 350 kilometre away from Mumbai. However, there were no reports of death and casualties, said J L Gautam, Head (Operations) of the NCS.
The Amravati police commissionerate on November 13 imposed Section 144 in Maharashtra's Amravati district till further orders. The order came after a mob pelted stones on shops at various places in the district during a bandh called by a saffron body. The bandh was called to protest against stone-pelting incidents during the rallies organised by Muslim organisations on November 12 who were protesting against communal violence in Tripura.

In Maharashtra's Nagpur, four masked robbers broke a car window and stole Rs 3.90 lakh from the car. Reportedly, the incident took place on November 9, in Wadi district. Sachin Ashok Mule (35), who ran a car decoration store in the neighboring Chandrapur district reportedly came to buy a new vehicle. Meanwhile, the four accused came and stole the money which was kept in the dashboard.
Ahmed Khan Pathan, 56-year-old assistant police sub-inspector, succumbed to a heart attack while chasing a burglar in the wee hours of November 8 in Maharashtra's Latur. Reportedly, Pathan was patrolling on foot with his colleague when they saw the burglar. They decided to chase him in the police vehicle but Pathan ''suffered a heart attack'' as he started ''walking towards the vehicle''.

Maharashtra's Ahmednagar hospital was set on fire, killing at least ten people and injuring several, according to reports. Reportedly, the fire swept through the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital. However, authorities are still investigating the cause, said an official. Crime detection unit of Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Vihar Police Commissionerate nabbed the accused, identified as Rizwan Abdul Khan (24). The 89-year-old Veteran Violinist Prabhakar Jog passed away due to age-related issues on October 31 in Maharashtra. Jog worked in Marathi and Hindi film music for over 60 years. He also performed more than 80 solo programmes in his career in India and Dubai. He had started his career at the age of 12. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhave Thackeray also expressed his grief over his demise.
Maharashtra police have arrested a rape accused after two years of investigation. According to senior inspector Sital Raut, the case was registered against the 26-year-old at Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh, accused for raping and threatening a widow in his village. However, based on the mobile phone location, the Raebareli police found he was hiding in the powerloom town of Bhiwandi in Maharashtra.
