2nd Digital Edition Of India Couture Week To Open By Manish Malhotra
Indian couturier, Manish Malhotra will be opening the Fashion Design Council Of India’s (FDCI) second, digital edition of the India Couture Week 2021, on August 23. The event will take place till August 29. FDCI’s jewellery partner will be Archana Aggarwal Timeless Jewellery. The event will witness India’s top 19 couturiers namely Amit Aggarwal, Amit GT, Anamika Khanna, Anju Modi, and others. Designer Rahul Mishra will be ending the show.

Sabyasachi Gets Trolled For Representing Semi-Naked Male Model
Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has come into the limelight on social media for his latest design featuring a semi-naked man wearing jewelry and a clutch. 26-Year-Old From Tripura Recreates Celebrities Fashion From Nature
Hailing from West Bengal’s Tripura, Sarbajit Sarkar also known as Neel Ranaut recreated styles of all well-known celebrities, which made him a fashion influencer of his village. The 26-year-old uses natural things leaves, grass, and flowers which cost him not even a penny. “I wanted to do something extraordinary and ground-breaking since childhood,” said Sarkar. He has recreated celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Bella Hadid, and others.

Renowned Fashion Designer Satya Paul Dies At 79
Renowned fashion designer and entrepreneur Satya Paul died on January 6 at Coimbatore's Isha Yoga Centre. The 79-year-old designer had suffered a stroke in December and was not in the best of health since then. He was seeking medical assistance in a hospital and later was moved to Isha Yoga Center. Satya Paul, the founder of eponymous fashion label, was known in the industry for revamping sarees.

Brazilian Apparel Brand Asked To Apologise For Hurting Hindu's Sentiments
For "deeply trivializing" the Hindu sentiments, a Brazilian fashion brand has been asked to remove the image of Lord Ganesha from its unisex apparel. Kolkata: Fashion Designer Sharbari Dutta Found Dead in Bathroom
Renowned fashion designer Sharbari Datta was found dead in her bathroom on September 18. Reportedly, there were traces of blood in her neck and ankle, and a case of unnatural death has been filed. Postmortem report suggested that she was killed atleast 36 hours before the test. Police stated that the probe is underway. The 63-year-old designer is survived by his son Amalin Datta who is also a fashion designer.
