After PM Narendra Modi requested people to go 'Vocal for Local', celebrities started trending #Local4Diwali after purchasing their festive outfits. Many actor including Amit Sadh, Kriti Sanon, and Mandira Bedi also shared their images with local handloom outfits. Chairman of Fashion Design Council of India Sunil Sethi said, "Go out and buy something made by an artisan. If you don’t support the artisan, then local will never prosper."

NDRF Goes 'Vocal For Local', Trains 'Desi' Dogs for Search, Rescue Operations
Inspired by 'Vocal for Local' campaign, National Disaster Response Force's (NDRF) dog squad is training 'stray dogs' for search-and-rescue operations.
