Irrfan Khan's Wife Sang 'Aaj Jaane Ki Zidd Na Karo' A Day Before His Demise

On the 55th birth anniversary of actor Irrfan Khan, his wife Sutapa Sikdar had revealed that a day before his demise she and her friends sung a song for Irrfan. Sutapa recalled the songs that she sang to Irrfan was "Lag ja Gale, Aaj Jaane Ki Zidd Na Karo. He was unconscious but he had tears rolling down." Irrfan died on April 29, 2020, due to cancer in Mumbai.

Late Actor Irfan Khan's Son Babil To Work With Shoojit Sircar

Shoojit Sircar, the director of 'Piku' and Producer Ronnie Lahiri have cast Late Irfan Khan's son Babil in their next film. Sharing the news on Instagram, Lahiri wrote "Honoured to take forward your legacy Irrfan sir. Worked with a legend like you, And now Babil. If this is not Providence, what is?" Reportedly, actor Zayn Khan will join the cast whereas the release date is yet to be known.

Irrfan Khan's Relative Dies Of COVID Due To Bed Unavailability In Delhi

Late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan's relative Sameer Banerjee died of COVID-19 on May 2 after not getting an ICU bed at any Delhi hospital. Irrfan's wife Sutapa Sikdar revealed the details on social media and wrote that they could not treat him at home hence, they turned to a hospital but to no avail. She added that Sameer "was not Chhota Rajan" (gangster) so he could not get a bed.

Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Prince Phillip Honoured At BAFTA 2021

The 74th British Academy Film and Television Awards' (BAFTA) on April 11, via a video-clip, payed tribute to Indian actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. Remembering the duo in its 'In Memorium' segment, BAFTA also honoured over 40 other artists including Kirk Douglas and Chadwick Boseman who died in 2020. Besides, the organisers also remembered Britain's Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip who passed away on April 9.

Late actor Irrfan Khan's last movie 'The Song of Scorpions' has been scheduled early 2021 release. The Anup Singh directorial venture will feature Irrfan in the role of a camel trader. The movie also features legendary Bollywood actress Waheeda Rehman and Iranian film star Golshifteh Farahani. The movie was premiered worldwide at the 70th Locarno Film Festival in 2017.
