Kashmir Yields 13.36 Tonnes Saffron In 2020: Highest In Decade 

Making notable progress, the yield of the world's most expensive spice, Kashmiri Saffron, has crossed 13.36 tonnes in 2020. An official stated the yield was highest in the decade and the improvement is a result of the government's National Mission on Saffron launched in 2010. Kashmir is the only Indian state to produce the saffron. Having a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, it is sold between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 2.5 lakh per kilogram.
