Indian Soldiers Greet Pakistan, Trade Sweets Along LoC

The Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged sweets along the Line of Control (LoC) as Pakistan celebrated its independence day on August 14. "The Indian Army, as a warm gesture, also presented sweets to the Pakistan Army at Chilehana Tithwal Crossing Point in Tangdhar sector in north Kashmir's Kupwara district," an army official said. India has always undertaken such acts to maintain peace on both sides.

No More Cross-Border Firings Along LoC: Armies Of India, Pakistan

Indian Army and Pakistani military have arrived at a mutual decision to stop cross-border firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. Reportedly, the decision has been taken to ease the living conditions of the civilians who have been the major sufferers of such clashes. However, according to Indian officials, the country would not bring down the number of troops along the LoC in the state.
