Mehul Choksi Was Tortured After Being Abducted To Dominica: Lawyer
In a new twist to Mehul Choksi's case, the diamantaire's lawyer Vijay Aggarwal has claimed that his client was "forcefully picked by various people", thus explaining his emergence in Dominica. Besides, he also alleged that Choksi has sustained multiple injuries on his body, which indicates of him being "tortured" by the abductors. Meanwhile, Antigua, from where Choksi fled, has asked Dominica to repatriate him directly to India.

PNB Scam Accused Businessman Mehul Choksi Arrested In Dominica
Fugitive businessman and PNB scam accused Mehul Choksi was arrested from Dominica on May 26, where he reportedly fled via a boat. Currently in custody of Dominica's Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Choksi will be handed back to Antigua authorities, said sources. However, Antigua's PM Gaston Browne stated, "We will not accept him back" citing his deportation to India. Choksi had gone missing on May 23.

Fugitive Mehul Choksi Missing From Antigua And Barbuda, Claims Lawyer
Fugitive jeweller Mehul Choksi’s lawyer Vijay Agarwal on May 25 said that his client has been missing in the Antigua and is family is also looking for him. Meanwhile, the Antiguan Police have launched a manhunt for the absconding diamantaire. Reportedly, intelligence department predicted that Choksi might have shifted his base to Cuba. Hiding since 2018, Choksi is wanted in the Rs 14,000 crore PNB loan fraud and money-laundering case.

SEBI to Impound Bank and Demat Accounts of Mehul Choksi: Gitanjali Gems Case
