Yatri App Updates, New Features To Enhance Security Of Women, Senior Citizens
To ease travel in local trains, the Central Railway (CR) released an updated Yatri App, with which, passengers can share their real-time location with their family and relatives. Furthermore, the service provider has added an enhanced security feature in the App. "Recipients can check the current location by clicking the shared link received," said an official CR. The new updated Yatri App will be a major boost to women's security.

Mumbai Rail Corporation Launches Trial Run Of Metro Line-3
The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) launched the trial run of the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro line-3 at Sariput Nagar in Aarey Colony, Maharashtra. On August 30, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis flagged off the trial run at 11:00 am, which came as a relief to commuters in the area. Furthermore, the 33.5 km underground route, will connect south Mumbai with the western suburbs in the State.

Mumbai: Centre Allows CDS Candidates To Travel By Local Trains On Nov 8
What comes as a relief to Combined Defence Services (CDS) applicants, the Union government has allowed them to use the services of Mumbai Suburban trains for exams on November 8. However, to avail the services, applicants need to show a valid identity card. The government has also mandated to follow the social distancing norms and other COVID-19 protocols in letter and spirit.
