NItish Kumar Announces Rs 2 Lakh Ex-Gratia For Pune Building Collapse Victims
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to families of deceased and Rs 50,000 to injured in the recent Pune Building Collapse. Notably, in a building collapse incident, five labourers hailing from Katihar died in the incident. Approximately 10 labourers were working for an under construction building in Pune, when an iron rod tapped over them killing five. The incident took place on February 3, night.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Tests Positive For COVID-19, Under Home Isolation
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar tested positive for COVID-19, on January 10. The Chief Minister's Office informed the same and said, Kumar is currently under home isolation as per doctor's advice. The Bihar CM also urged people to follow COVID-19 protocol and take necessary precaution. In addition, the Nitish Kumar Government also imposed night curfew, from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, to prevent COVID-19 spread.

Nitish Kumar Renews Pledge For Prohibition Of Liquor In Bihar
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar renewed his pledge of liquor prohibition in the entire State on November 26. He took the pledge at Gyan Bhavan, on the banks of Ganga. Along with Kumar, Police officials, students, government officials, and MLAs also took the pledge to make Bihar an alcohol-free State. In addition, Nitish Kumar rejected the plea of liquor traders, demanding reconsideration over the pledge of liquor prohibition in Bihar.

Spurious Liquor Claims 3 More Lives In Bihar's Bettiah District
Bihar government on November 5, reported three more deaths due to consuming "spurious liquor" in the Bettiah district, reaching the death toll to 13 in a month. As per the district magistrate's statement, seven people were hospitalized after allegedly consuming the poisonous liquor. Reportedly, the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has said that the government will be taking strict actions against the people who are involved.

Nitish Kumar Is The 'Shyest' CM Of The Country: Tejashwi Yadav
Leader of Bihar's opposition party, Tejashwi Yadav on October 26 said that Nitish Kumar is the most 'shyest' Chief Minister who refrains from talking about the ongoing issues of education, employment, and inflation in the state. The young leader further slammed Kumar of the poor health facilities in Bihar and alleged the need to conduct by-polls. "Running the state since 15 years yet there is no development," he added.
