Upendra Kushwaha claims that many MLAs and MPs of the Janata Dal (United) are ready to quit the Nitish Kumar-led party. On February 21, Kushwaha addressed the media and said, a split in Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) is evident and many MLAs and MLCs will leave the ruling party. The remarks of Kushwaha came a day after he submitted his resignation from the membership of JD(U)

Telangana CM KCR Visits Bihar, Meets Tejashwi Yadav And Nitish Kumar
Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao met with his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar and the alliance party president Tejaswi Yadav. On August 31, CM KCR visited Bihar and discussed national politics, against the BJP. In addition, the Telangana CM also met with the families of martyred soldiers who lost lives in the 2020 Galwan Valley fight with the Chinese troop and workers who died in a fire accident in Telangana.

Nitish Kumar Led Govt Wins Majority Votes In Floor Test: Bihar
Nitish Kumar-led Bihar Government wins majority in the floor test, held during the Legislative Assembly on August 24. The Janata Dal-United and Rashtra Janata Dal alliance formed the government after Nitish Kumar led the JDU to exit from the National Democratic Alliance and BJP alliance. Notably, Nitish Kumar won 164 MLAs votes in the 243-member Bihar assembly. "This is a never-ending inning, it will be historic," said Tejashwi Yadav".

Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha Resigns Ahead Of Floor Test
Ahead of the Bihar Government floor test, BJP Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha submitted his resignation from the post. The resignation came on August 24, following the constant demands of resignation by the Bihar MLAs, who also moved a no-confidence motion against Sinha. Notably, earlier BJP's Sinha refused to step down as the Bihar Assembly speaker, after the exit of Janata Dal-United from the BJP and NDA alliance.

Nitish Kumar To Expand Cabinet In Bihar, Likely To Induct 36 Ministers
Nitish Kumar Government is set to expand the Cabinet on August 16. Recently Janata Dal United- Rashtriya Janata Dal formed the State Government in Bihar after Nitish Kumar announced an exit from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The cabinet expansion to take place at 11:30 am. As per sources, RJD will induct 15 ministers, JDU will have 12 ministers and ally Congress to get two ministers, in total 36 ministers.
