Norway Chess tournament

Viswanathan Anand won third place in the Norway Chess tournament on June 11. The Indian Grandmaster defeated Norway's Aryan Tari in the ninth and final round of the Classical section. Anand won the Armageddon round after the classical match ended in a 22-move draw. Anand finished the event in third place, behind Magnus Carlsen and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, with 14.5 points.
