Former Indian Army chief General VP Malik (retired) has called for "urgent attention" to the situation in Manipur, amid violent ethnic clashes. Malik's urgent attention tweet came as a response to a retired army officer living in Manipur. "An extraordinary sad call from a retired Lt General from Manipur," tweeted Malik on June 16. Notably, since May 3, ethnic clashes are going on leading to burning Manipur and costing lives.
