Dharavi Redevelopment Stuck Due To Centre's Pending Land Transfer: CM Thackeray
Dharavi's redevelopment project is delayed due to the pending land transfer by the Centre. On March 24, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray said, "While about Rs 800 crore has been given to Railways, the land is yet to be transferred to us". During the budget speech, CM said FM Ajit Pawar presented budget, which focuses on redevelopment slums, along with 300 residences for legislators in rural area of Mumbai.

CII Partners With SII To Expand Vaccine Access In Rural, Small Towns
Confederation on Indian institute (CII) has reportedly partnered up with "Serum Institute of India (SII)" to increase production of Covid-19 vaccines in small towns and rural areas extensively. The partnership between the two bodies aims to bridge the gap in disseminating vaccines across rural areas. "This connectivity will help catalyze industry participation to reach out to communities at large", said TV Narendran, CCI President.

Rural Schools Shut Due To Poor Enrollment: Odisha
The Odisha government has been on a mission to close schools with poor student enrollment for years. Almost 200 schools with low student enrollment were closed in 2014. In 2019, close to 1,000 schools were closed. In reality, the state administration had intended to close over 14,000 schools in stages, but the figure was reduced to half last year when the Right to Education (RTE) Forum and opposition parties took up the cause.
