WB's Transport Department Introduces 2 CNG-Powered Buses In Kolkata
CNG-aided buses have been introduced in Kolkata on August 10 to ferry people from Newtown to Howrah. Initially, the introduction of two buses by the state’s transport department is to mitigate pollution and rising diesel costs. “Apart from reducing pollution levels, the operational costs of running buses will come down significantly (once battery- or CNG-powered vehicles are introduced),” said Firhad Hakim, WB Transport Minister.

Himachal: 15,000 Vehicles Notified To Change Olive-Green Colour
Himachal Pradesh's transport department has notified nearly 15,000 vehicle owners to switch from olive-coloured vehicles within three months. The rule prohibited vehicles painted in olive-green citing it strictly reserved for the armed forces under the Motor Vehicles Act.
