United States: Ex-cop Accused Of Killing George Floyd Granted Bail
Alleged murderer of African-American George Floyd, Minneapolis' ex-cop Derek Chauvin was released on a $1 million bail on October 7. While Floyd’s family lawyers called Chauvin’s release a "painful reminder" that "we are still far from achieving justice", hundreds of people protested the decision on streets. Earlier, Chauvin was arrested after a video surfaced, wherein he could be seen kneeling on Floyd’s neck for nine minutes causing the latter's death.
