Ban On Online Gaming Can Hurt Startups: CAIT To Karnataka Govt

Confederation of Indian Traders (CAIT) requested Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai to relook at the proposed bill to ban online gaming because it'll be a major blow for Indian startups, the gaming industry, and the animation industry. CAIT's General Secretary, Praveen Khandelwal also warned against gamers who "turn to harmful offshore and betting apps''. Reportedly, the ban will affect 623 gaming startups in India such as Dream 11, Nazara, MPL, etc.
