Delhi Capitals Seizes Super-Over Win Against Sunrisers Hyderabad
Clinching the first super-over game of the IPL 2021, Delhi Capitals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad to maintain its winning-streak. Having won the toss, Capitals opted to bat first and, with a contribution of 53 runs off 39 balls from Prithvi Shaw, the posted a score of 159 runs after losing four wickets. While chasing, Sunrisers too stumbled from the beginning and could not take an authoritative control of the match throughout the game. In the 20th SRH needed 16 runs to seal the game, although they could cover only 15-run distance and the match went to super-over. For SRH, pair of David Warner and Kane Williamson was able to score just 7 runs in the super-over, thanks to Axar Patel's controlled bowling. Canvassing the target of 8 runs in the super-over, DC skipper Rishabh Pant and in-form Shikhar Dhawan won the game on the last ball. Now, Delhi Capitals have climbed to 2nd spot at the points table while Sunrisers Hyderabad is on the 7th position.
