Kerala Govt Challenges HC Order Over Number Of Sabarimala Devotees
The Kerala High Court's order to increase the number of devotees in Sabarimala Temple has been challenged by the state Chief Secretary in the Supreme court. The Kerala government in its petition stated that the increase will put a "great strain" on health officials and police amid the ongoing pandemic. Earlier, the high court on December 18 had raised the number of pilgrims allowed to 5,000 per day.

SC Bars Isolation Posters Outside Covid-19 Patient's Homes
The Supreme Court has ordered all the states and UTs to not stick Covid-19 isolation posters outside the houses of affected patients. However, the court has directed the Disaster Management authorities to allow posters only after reviewing on a case-by-case basis. Moreover, the Apex noted that Centre has not issued any such orders.
