To curb air-pollution and usage of firewood, The faculties of IIT Mandi, Himachal Pradesh have launched a new cooking stove, 'Atuvik'. The product is primarily developed for regions at higher altitudes. The affordable cooking stove, which is priced between Rs 4500-Rs 10,000, helps to increase the availability of oxygen for combustion. The product has won a social innovation award and support from the state government as well.
