Indore Police Arrests 7 People For Alleged Kidnapping Of Businessman

Indore Police have arrested seven people including two police personnel in an alleged kidnapping of a Nagpur based businessman. Businessman In Etah Shot Dead By Motorcyclists: UP

Businessman Sandeep Gupta (55) was killed by motorcycle-borne shooters on December 27, said SHO of Vijay Singh of Aligarh's Kwarsi police station. Reportedly, the Etah businessman was traveling in a car when the shooters intercepted him and fired several bullets from outside the car. Gupta was rushed to a local hospital and was declared dead upon arrival.

Crossword Bookstore Sold To Pune-Based ABH For Rs 41.62 Crore

Shoppers Stop owned 'Crossword Bookstore' has been sold to its Pune-based franchise Agarwal Business house on August 31. However, the owner wanted to exit the non-core business and concentrate on other businesses. The gross business valuation for the bookstore was Rs 41.62 crore. “Under the agreement, ABH will take over all the assets and brand. Any liabilities will be adjusted for arriving at the final consideration,” said the company.

Banks To Recover Vijay Mallya's Debt After UK Declares Him 'Bankrupt'

In the latest development, a UK court has declared the fugitive Vijay Mallya as 'bankrupt' on July 26. The decision will help the State Bank of India-led consortium of banks to recover their debt by freezing the assets owned by Mallya's Kingfisher Airlines. Notably, Mallya is accused of not paying back Rs 9,000 crores to the banks, and is currently out on bail, living in the UK.

Pornography Case: Raj Kundra Bribes Rs 25 Lakh To Police To Evade Getting Arrested

Notably, the businessman Raj Kundra who has been arrested for the porn films racket on July 19 was reported to bride the Mumbai Police’s Crime branch officials with Rs 25 lakh to avoid arrest. Arvind Srivastava, also known as Yash Thakur has mailed a complaint to the Anti-Corruption Bureau in March regarding the same. Initially, the case was registered in February 2021. Besides, Kundra will remain in custody till July 23.

Agreeing to the session court, the Delhi HC declined relief citing the seriousness and chances of compromising the evidences in the case. Reportedly, as per evidences, the concentrators sold were Chinese made and not fit to meet the requirement of even one person.
