Former Gujarat CM Keshubhai Patel Dies Of Cardiac Arrest At 92

Former Gujarat CM and veteran BJP leader Keshubhai Patel passed away of cardiac arrest at 92 on October 29. Reportedly, he had complained of difficulty in breathing, following which he was admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad. He served Gujarat as a CM in 1995 and 1998-2001. Elected as a member of legislative assembly for six times, Patel had also created his own party, 'Gujarat Parivartan Party', in 2012.

Social Activist and Arya Samaj Leader Swami Agnivesh Dies at 80

Activist and Arya Samaj Leader Swami Agnivesh (80) passed away due to multiple organ failures. Suffering from liver cirrhosis, he was on ventilator support since September 8. Being the founder of Bandhua Mukti Morcha, he was well known for his campaign against bonded labour. A Brahmin by caste, Swami renounced to become a saint. He was elected for Haryana Assembly (1977) and later a part of Anna 's anti-corruption movement.
