Uttarakhand Disaster: A Dog's Yearning To Reunite With Lost Puppies
The recent floods which embroiled Uttarakhand's Chamoli have cast devastating effects on the fauna too. In Raini, a village proximal to the Rishi Ganga Hydropower Project site, a female Bhutia dog weeps day and night, awaiting her puppies wiped away in the unforeseen calamity. Unable to eat or go back to the old routine, the dismayed mother monitors the area recklessly in the hope to unite with her puppies again.
