Serena Williams Pulls Out Of French Open 2020, Cites Achilles Injury

American tennis player Serena Williams dropped out of the French Open 2020 on September 30 after suffering from an Achilles injury. The 23-time Grand Slam winner announced  her exit after advancing to the second round of the event. She had hurt her left Achilles tendon during the semi-finals of the US Open. “I think I need four to six weeks of sitting and doing nothing,” Williams said.

French Open: Cold And Rainy Weather Frustrates Azarenka, Kovinic

Victoria Azarenka and opponent Danka Kovinic left the court thrice due to the cold winds and persistent drizzle in the French Open on September 27.
